DES MOINES, Iowa -- In a battle of top-25 teams, the No. 23 Trinity International Trojans were held to their lowest offensive output of the season, collecting just 143 yards of total offense while falling to the 3rd-ranked Grand View Vikings, 47-14, Saturday afternoon at Williams Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Trojan attack earned over 200 yards fewer than their previous season-low, with just 53 yards rushing, and 90 yards in the air. Trinity picked up two first downs in their first four drives of the game, while the Vikings posted 16 points over that same stretch.

Trinity International (4-3, 1-2 MSFA Midwest) got on the scoreboard in the second quarter, when Steven Deliz picked off a Derek Fulton pass near midfield and nearly returned it all the way, going down at the GVU 8-yard line. Two plays later, quarterback Stephen Anderson connected with Trojan wideout Cory Windle for the 9-yard touchdown pass.

Before the TIU defense could get a stop and give the offense a chance to get back in the game, the Vikings ran the kickoff 62 yards into Trojan territory, then completed a 43-yard touchdown pass to go up 23-7 with 10:03 in the second quarter.

The Grand View touchdown was the start of 31 unanswered points for the Vikings, building up a 47-7 advantage before the Trojans would strike again. Cristian Robinson capped off a 10-play, 78-yard drive to end the third quarter, catching Anderson's pass from 20 yards out for the touchdown. Both sides would go scoreless through the fourth quarter, as Robinson's touchdown would finish the scoring on the day.

Running back Chris Elliott had a season-low 12 yards rushing on 10 carries. Anderson finished 12-of-24 passing with 78 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Robinson had a team-high five receptions for 27 yards. Defensively, linebacker Kyle Mowen had a game-high 10 tackles in the loss.

The Trojans will return home next Saturday, when they play host to the Waldorf Warriors. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. on October 26.
