JOLIET, Ill. -- The Trinity International Trojans officially punched their ticket into the CCAC Tournament Saturday afternoon, as leading scorer Samantha Yasatan posted her third multi-goal match of the season, scoring twice as the Trojans earned a 2-0 win over the Fighting Saints of St. Francis.

The Trojans (10-5-2, 5-3-2 CCAC) actually took fewer shots throughout the match than St. Francis, but made more of them count, firing seven shots on goal, compared to the Saints' six. Goalkeeper Liz Burzynski saved all six chances, earning her tenth win of the season, and her sixth shutout of 2013.

Yasatan broke through for TIU in the 23rd minute, firing from 12 yards out during a scramble in which St. Francis worked to try and clear the danger out from in front of their goal. The score ended a five-match drought for the Racine, Wisc. native, her longest run without a goal throughout the season. She answered again in the second half, with a floating shot from 20 yards out that rose just above the reach of the keeper in the 64th minute.

With the win, the Trojans clinch the seventh and final spot in the upcoming conference tournament. With one regular season match still remaining, the Trojans could potentially rise as high as fourth in the CCAC standings, which would grant them a home match in the first round of the CCAC Tournament.

TIU will wrap up the 2013 regular season at home, when they take on Holy Cross on Wednesday, November 6. Kickoff at Schartner Field is set for 2:00 p.m.
