MILWAUKEE, Wisc. -- Trinity International held a first half lead, but a rally from Cardinal Stritch heading into the halftime break proved to be enough, as the Wolves earned a 76-52 win over the Trojans, Tuesday night at the CSU Field House. Senior DeAndra Wright led Trinity International with 17 points on the night, including five three-pointers on the night.

The Trojans (2-6, 0-3 CCAC) held an early lead, as freshman Basha Ramsey scored TIU's first six points of the game, taking a 6-5 advantage at the 16:26 mark of the first half. Wright added a trey to put the Trojans ahead by four on the next possession, but the Wolves (5-1, 2-0 CCAC) would answer with a 6-0 run to reclaim the lead.

After tying the score at 11-11 on an Abigail Hemmeger layup, senior Clarissa Woodard would match TIU's largest lead of the night with back-to-back field goals, putting Trinity ahead 15-11 with 12:00 to play in the first half. A three-pointer from CSU's Julie Raeder put the Wolves back on top, 21-18 at the 8:43 mark of the first half, where they would lead the rest of the way.

Cardinal Stritch would close the half on an 11-0 run, capped off by a trey from Janessa Baker with nine seconds remaining to give the Wolves a 39-27 halftime lead.

Ramsey led all scorers at the break with eight points, as the Trojans outscored the Wolves in the paint during the first half, 18-12. Although TIU was out-rebounded 18-17, the Trojans scored nine second-chance points, compared to the Wolves' four.

The CSU lead would stretch to 20 points at the 16:04 mark of the second half, as the Wolves opened up a 12-4 run coming out of the break. Trinity International would hold their own from that point onward but were unable to close the game the rest of the way, resulting in a 76-52 final score.

Ramsey finished with 12 points on 6-of-13 shooting, and a game-high seven rebounds. Montanique Washington led the Trojans with four assists and just two turnovers, while Hemmeger had three steals to lead TIU. The Wolves benefitted from a big advantage in trips to the free throw line, taking 22 attempts compared to TIU's three free throw shots on the night.

The Trojans wrap up their three-game road trip and will return home following the Thanksgiving break, when they take on Ashford (Iowa) on December 3. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. in the Meyer Sports Complex.
