DEERFIELD, Ill. -- Sophomore guard JaToya Woods led Trinity International with a season-high 16 points on the night, but the Olivet Nazarene attack was too much to handle, as the Tigers hit 19 three-pointers en route to a 116-69 win inside the Meyer Sports Complex on Wednesday night.

The 116 points by ONU were the most a Trojan squad had allowed since the two sides' meeting last season, when the Tigers won a 125-111 barn-burner in Bourbonnais. Olivet Nazarene (14-7, 7-2 CCAC) took the lead on the first possession, with a three from ONU's Malory Adam, and went on to lead the rest of the way. The Trojans (3-15, 0-10 CCAC) held their own in the post, outscoring the Tigers in the paint 50-34, and outrebounding their opponents 64-60. Forty turnovers however, led to 36 ONU points on the night.

Woods was one of two Trojans to finish in double figures, as TIU put up their highest point total since a Dec. 21 meeting with Robert Morris that saw the team reach the 70-point mark. Senior forward Clarissa Woodard contributed 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting, and a perfect 4-for-4 night from the free throw line. Sophomore Kiana Rowland nearly recorded her first career double-double, with nine points and nine rebounds; both totals are career highs for the Round Rock, Tex. native. Her sister Bri'ana also had a strong showing, with a season-high seven points on 2-of-3 shooting and a trio of free throws. Defensively, guard Daja Johnson recorded a career high with six steals on the night.

The Trojans will take the weekend off before traveling to Gary, Ind. for a make-up game with Indiana-Northwest. Originally scheduled for Jan. 4, tips off Monday night, January 27, at 6:00 p.m.
