NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Sophomore guard Arielle Miree scored a season-high 16 points, but a cold-shooting performance from Trinity International led to a 79-36 loss to the St. Mary (Ind.) Belles, Saturday afternoon at the Chicago Marriott Naperville Tip-Off Classic, hosted by North Central University.

The Trojans shot 11-of-69 from the field (15.9%), and 3-of14 (21.4%) from long range, starting the game on a 6:17 scoring drought, before Daja' Johnson's three-pointer put TIU on the board. Miree finished the first half with eight points, making up the rest of the scoring for the Trojans before the break, where they trailed 32-11 at halftime.

Amari Parham had a strong second half, posting six points after going scoreless in the first; Miree again led the Trojans with eight points after the break, while freshman Mackenzie Crews went 2-for-3 from the field for five points.

Trinity returns to the Van Dixhorn Arena for their next game, set for Tuesday, November 25, at 5:30 p.m. The Trojans resume CCAC action, as they host the No. 12 Cardinal Stritch Wolves.
