Trinity International goes cold on offense in loss to the Eagles.

Box Score ELGIN, Ill. -- Senior Clarissa Woodard led Trinity International with 13 points as the lone player in double figures, but the Trojans struggled to find their shot, falling to the Judson Eagles 80-55 on Wednesday night. TIU shot .268 (19-71) from the field, compared to the Eagles' .388 (26-67), including a 40% performance in the second half.

The Trojans (3-21, 0-15 CCAC) took an early lead when Kiana Rowland opened scoring with a layup to put her team ahead 2-0. After Judson tied the score at 7-7 with a pair of free throws from JU's Hailey Cnota, Woodard put the Trojans back in front with the first of her three treys on the night, with 16:01 to play in the first half.

Judson (9-18, 4-11 CCAC) answered with a 6-0 run, taking a 13-10 advantage at the 14:17 mark. The Eagles slowly expanded their lead throughout the half; reaching double digits with a pair of free throws with 10:12 until halftime, making it a 25-15 game. A layup from JaToya Woods cut the Judson lead to 13 points in the closing seconds, as the Eagles went into the halftime break leading 40-27.

With the first 11 points of the second half, the Eagles pulled away, quickly taking a 51-27 lead with 16:37 to play. The Trojans would briefly work the deficit back to under 20 points but would not be able to get back into the game, ultimately falling 80-55.

Freshman Basha Ramsey nearly recorded a double-double in 24 minutes off the bench, picking up eight points and 11 rebounds. Senior Abigail Hemmeger and sophomore JaToya Woods also scored eight points apiece.

The Trojans return home this weekend, when they face St. Xavier on Saturday, February 15. Tipoff against the Cougars, in the second-to-last home game of the season, is set for 5:30 p.m.
