Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fla. -- In the second day of their Florida spring break trip, the Trinity International Trojans struggled to avoid giving up the big rally, as TIU fell to the Spring Arbor (Mich.) Cougars, 17-2, and the Lourdes Gray Wolves (Ohio), 15-0, as both games ended early on the run rule Tuesday night.

The Trojans (0-4) gave up three or more runs in six inning between both games, while allowing a combined 20 hits to their opponents. In the opening game, the Cougars (5-3) attacked for eight runs in the second inning, and held a 13-0 advantage when the Trojans rallied for a pair of runs in the top of the fourth.

TIU scored four singles in the fourth, as Jamie Weaver and Danielle Donorovich set the table for Breanna Hansen's two-RBI base hit. The Trojans were unable to avoid the run-rule, however, as Spring Arbor tallied four runs in the bottom of the inning to finish the game, 17-2.

In the second game of the day, the Trojan bats went quiet, as Donorovich and Melodee Aguirre combined for Trinity's only two hits in the game. The Gray Wolves (2-4) got out in front early, putting up six runs in the first inning en route to a 13-0 win.

The Trojans have an off day set for Wednesday, before facing a pair of rematches on Thursday, with the Ave Maria (Fla.) Gyrenes at 10:00 a.m. Central (11:00 a.m. Eastern), and Spring Arbor again at 12:00 p.m. Central (1:00 p.m. Eastern).
