DEERFIELD, Ill. --While Trinity International celebrated the two Trojan seniors on this year's squad, the Cardinal Stritch Wolves crashed the party, taking both games of a doubleheader Thursday afternoon, by scores of 14-1 and 15-0.

In the opening game, the Trojans (0-20, 0-12 CCAC) responded after a first-inning CSU rally, as TIU cut into the deficit with a run in the bottom of the second. Tina Lebar started a string of four straight singles for the Trojans, scoring the team's lone run of the day on a base hit from Ashley O'Brien.

Cardinal Stritch started to pull away in the third inning, however, putting up four runs in the top of the frame, followed by seven more runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Pitcher/outfielder Samantha Payne and outfielder Jamie Weaver were recognized between games as part of the Senior Day festivities. To start the second game of the day, freshman Breanna Hansen worked around a pair of walks to escape the first inning without a run, but the Wolves rallied for 15 runs over the final four innings to take the sweep.

O'Brien finished with the only multi-hit game of the day, going 2-for-3 in the opener along with an RBI.

The Trojans are back at home Friday afternoon, when they play host to the Roosevelt Lakers. First pitch for the doubleheader tomorrow is set for 1:00 p.m. at the TIU Softball Field.
