DEERFIELD, Ill. -- The Trinity International Trojans earned their first win of 2015 in a big way on Thursday night, defeating the Crossroads (Minn.) Knights, 97-15 inside the Van Dixhorn Arena. The victory snaps a 34-game slide that dates back to last season, while recording the largest margin of victory in a game since 2012.

Basha Ramsey led the Trojans with 19 points, as three players finished in double figures for TIU. Five Trojans set new career highs in scoring, as
Mackenzie Crews (12 pts.), Daja Johnson (9),
Joy Corley (8),
Tiffany Pitter (8), and
Hannah Elmore (4) all scored personal-bests on the night.
After an early Crossroads layup tied the game at 2-2, the Trojans took control, outscoring the Knights 62-5 in the first half. The Trojans took advantage of 42 turnovers, leading to 51 points throughout the night.
The win is the first for Trinity since last season's home victory over Ashford (Iowa) on Dec. 3, 2013.
Trinity is back in action this Saturday, January 10, when they resume CCAC play and host Holy Cross, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
