DEERFIELD, Ill. -- In Trinity International's biggest offensive performance this season, senior
Sam Salem recorded a career-high 23 points as the Trojans claimed a 101-58 home win over Northland International (Wisc.), Friday night inside the Van Dixhorn Arena. The win is the third straight for a Trinity squad that has suddenly built some momentum as the team re-enters conference play on Saturday.

Thomas Amrine matching his career high for the fourth time, hitting six threes in the win. Amrine finished with 22 points, for his second 20-point performance in his last three games.
TIU led the game from start to finish, after jumping out to a 5-0 lead on scores from
Dillon Wadsack and
James Glass. The Trojans took advantage of 13 first-half Pioneer turnovers and a 23-14 rebounding margin to build a 57-26 lead at the half. Amrine collected 14 points before the break with five Trojans scoring seven or more points in the first half.
Trinity earned their largest lead of the night in the final five minutes, when a pair of Salem free throws put TIU in front by 45, 92-47.
Glass nearly earned his first career double-double, recording 14 points and eight rebounds.
Justin Peeples also finished in double figures in the win, picking up 11 points and going 3-for-4 from long range. Senior
Paul Badgley had one of the stronger performances off the bench, with eight points, seven rebounds and six assists.
The Trojans are back in action Saturday afternoon, when they resume conference play and host the Holy Cross Saints. Tipoff from Van Dixhorn Arena is set for 3:00 p.m.
