GLENDALE, Wisc. - A goal in the opening minutes held up for the home team, as Trinity International took a 1-0 loss at Cardinal Stritch on Saturday morning.
Box Score | Season StatsThe Trojans (7-5, 2-4 CCAC) produced a season-low four shots in the match, with three attempts on goal. Cardinal Stritch (6-5-1, 4-3 CCAC) took the lead in the 8th minute, when Peter Bannister found Ignacio Baeza's pass and fired past the keeper for the 1-0 lead.
Despite the goal, the first half resembled a defensive struggle, with a combined six shots taken over the first 45 minutes. Stritch opened up the attack after the halftime break, out-shooting Trinity 10-2 in the second half.
Brad Stough made three saves in the match, coming in as a substitute in the second half and holding the Wolves to their one-goal advantage.
