DEERFIELD, Ill. -- Trailing by just three at the half, Trinity International women's basketball kept things close, but a dry spell over the final five minutes proved to be too much to overcome, as the Trojans fell at home to the Judson Eagles, 68-55 on Wednesday night inside Van Dixhorn Arena.

Nika Bracun led the Trojans with 14 points apiece, including four three-pointers from Bracun, in 30 minutes of action off the bench.
The Trojans saw seven different players score in the first half, including Bracun and Daja Johnson, who had a team-high eight points apiece. Trinity jumped out to a 5-0 lead on scores from Woods and Johnson, before an 8-0 run for the Eagles put Judson ahead at the 16:12 mark.
Trinity briefly reclaimed the lead on a three from Bracun with 10:33 to play in the first, but JU's Jayla Barrett tied the game less than a minute later with a layup. Judson would go on to lead by as much as 11 points in the closing minutes of the half.
A 10-2 run over the final 3:24 before the break saw TIU cut into the deficit;
Abbey Bernas capped the rally with a pair of scores in the last minute of play, and the Trojans went into the locker room down just three, 37-34.
TIU never fell behind by more than a few possessions throughout most of the second half, but also were never able to move in front of the Eagles. Another three from Bracun with 5:53 to play brought the Trojans as close as they would get, down two, 54-52. TIU would shoot 1-for-9 from the field the rest of the way, however, as JU closed on a 14-2 run to finish the game.
Bracun set a new career high, with four made three-pointers on the night.
The Trojans hit the road this weekend, when they travel to face the 4th-ranked St. Xavier Cougars. Tipoff from Shannon Center at SXU is set for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14.
