MILWAUKEE, Wisc. -- Lexie Voss and
Mickayla Staal each finished with a team-high eight kills, while three Trojans picked up double-digit digs, but Trinity International suffered its second consecutive straight-set loss Tuesday night, 25-16, 25-17, 25-22, at Cardinal Stritch.

Alida Knudtson's kill made it 7-6 in favor of Trinity, but the Wolves answered with seven straight points to claim a 13-7 advantage they would hold the rest of the way.
Trinity put up three quick points at the start of the second game, highlighted by a kill from freshman
Gabby Miller and an ace dealt out by Staal. Strich rallied to claim a lead at 6-5 but Voss recorded one of her three solo blocks on the night to tie the set at 6-6. Another big run from CSU resulted in seven of the next eight points to go in favor of the Wolves, as the home team held a comfortable margin to close out the set.
In the third set, the Trojans had their largest lead of the night, using a six-point rally to move in front 9-5, highlighted by a pair of kills from Staal, and two kills and a block from Voss. TIU managed to play even with the Wolves until a quick 3-0 run increased Trinity's lead to 20-14. Cardinal Stritch responded with a 7-1 run of their own to tie the set at 21-21. A CSU attack error gave the Trojans a brief 22-21 advantage before Stritch took the final four points to claim a 25-22 win.
Voss finished the night with four total blocks to lead the Trojans, while junior
Suzanne Knudtson collected 17 assists on the night.
Becca Kowalczuk had a match-leading 12 digs, while Miller and
Marissa Boelter each had ten.
The Trojans return next week for their home opener, when they face St. Ambrose on Tuesday, September 22 at 7:00 p.m.
