DEERFIELD, Ill. - Two goals in the opening twelve minutes put Trinity International back on their heels early, as the visiting Calumet St. Joseph Crimson Wave took a 6-2 win over the Trojans at Schartner Field Tuesday afternoon.

CCSJ's Mitch Aguilera finished with a hat trick on the day and four goals overall, including both second half scores that prevented Trinity (6-9-2, 5-5-1 CCAC) from putting together a comeback. The Wave (4-12-1, 2-8-1 CCAC) took the lead in the 7th minute on a goal from Christopher Makengo, then doubled their advantage with the first goal from Aguilera in the 12th minute.
Before the end of the first half, Calumet would take a 4-0 lead, on goals in the 22nd and 42nd minutes. Trinity were out-shot 12-6 before the break, but came back to hold a 23-18 shooting advantage in the match.
Aguilera's third goal of the day in the 59th minute gave the Wave their largest lead of the day at 5-0, before the Trojans responded with two unanswered scores. Senior
Tim Sloma, in his final regular season match at Schartner Field, put TIU on the board in the 61st minute, with his first career goal.
Francesco De Felice then scored his third of the year in the 69th minute, taking a long pass by
Zach Reget from near midfield and putting it in the back of the net.
The visitors prevented Trinity from building on their momentum, and put the match away with another goal from Aguilera in the 77th minute to close out the scoring at 6-2.
Reget, who assisted on both Trinity goals, lead the Trojans with eight shots and four shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper
Brad Stough, who came on to start the second half, finished with four saves on the day.
Trinity closes out the regular season on Saturday, when they travel to Olivet Nazarene. Kickoff against the Tigers is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
