BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - Holding the No. 2 seed scoreless for over 90 minutes, Trinity International were poised to pull off the upset, but a goal in the 108th minute was enough to advance the Olivet Nazarene Tigers over the 7th-seeded Trojans, Saturday afternoon in the CCAC Tournament quarterfinals.

Freshman goalkeeper
Rebecca Wells made a season-high 13 saves on the day, as the Tigers (14-2-2) fired 31 shots overall. The Trojans (6-12-1) had three shots on goal in the first half, including a pair from
Victoria Padal and
Kaylee Wallentine that would have put TIU in front at the break, but all three attempts were saved by the ONU goalkeeper.
Trinity managed just two more shots on-target in the second half, both within the first ten minutes, from
Jillian Kolster and
Isabelle Danner. The rest of the way, Wells kept her team in the match, making seven second-half saves to force extra time.
Danner had a look at the game-winner in the 93rd minute, collecting and firing off of
Rachel Conrady's blocked shot, but the attempt was again saved. The Tigers finally broke through when ONU's Sarah Buffum scored off a blocked shot in the 108th minute, just before the end of extra time and a potential penalty shootout.
With the loss, the Trojans are knocked out of the CCAC Tournament and wrap up the 2016 season with a 6-12-1 overall record.
