WHITING, Ind. – Trinity International struggled to get into a rhythm at the plate on Saturday, as the Trojans were shut out in both games of a doubleheader, falling 8-0 and 3-0 against the Calumet St. Joseph Crimson Wave.

Allison Naujokas, who each had a pair of singles.
In the first game of the day, the Wave (16-10, 4-0 CCAC) struck early, putting up two runs in the bottom of the 2nd, including a solo home run to lead off the inning. CCSJ added four more in the third, then ended the game on the run rule in the 6th with two runs on three hits to clinch the 8-0 win.
Trinity settled in defensively early in game two, as freshman pitcher
Taylor Carli allowed just one hit through the first three innings. Calumet pushed the first run of the game across in the fourth, after a two-out RBI single. The Wave added two more in the 5th, with another two-out rally that put the home team ahead 3-0.
With two more road games left in the current four-game road trip, the Trojans will now set their sights on Purdue-North Central. Trinity takes on the Panthers from Patriot Park in Michigan City, Ind., on Tuesday, March 29, starting at 3:00 p.m.
