DUBUQUE, Iowa - A goal in the 56th minute Tuesday night proved to be all the Trojans would need, as Trinity International secured their first win of the season at Clarke (Iowa), 1-0.

Nathaniel Michaelis provided the lone goal for either side, combining with
Phil Parker and
Zach Reget for the game-winning play, as the duo each earned their first assists of the year.
Outshooting the Crusaders (0-2) by a 6-4 margin in the first half, Trinity (1-1) turned up the attack after the break. The Trojans fired 16 shots in the second half, breaking through 10 minutes into the period but continually looking to add to their lead. Michaelis led the way with a match-high seven shots and four shots on goal, while Reget finished with three shots on target.
Francesco De Felice and
Krystian Streit each fired two shots on goal.
Senior goalkeeper
Brad Stough earned the second win and the second shutout of his career, playing all 90 minutes in goal while facing five shots on the night.
The Trojans return to Schartner Field this Thursday, when they welcome Bluefield (Va.) in Trinity's home opener. Kickoff on September 1 is set for 4:00 p.m.
