A consistent and varied attack saw six different players put the ball on goal for Trinity (2-4-1, 1-0 CCAC), as the Trojans outshot their opponents by an 18-8 margin.
Zach Reget again led the offense, taking six shots and a team-high three shots on goal.
Sophomore
Krystian Streit buried his first collegiate goal in the 19th minute, to put TIU in front 1-0. The Eagles (0-6, 0-1 CCAC) had a couple of chances to even the score in the first half, but just one shot on goal, which was saved by Trinity keeper
Jared Yonke.
Robert Morris did eventually find the equalizer, coming out of the break strong and scoring in the 50th minute, on a goal from Voislov Ilic. Eight minutes later,
Kyle McNamara found De Felice at the top of the 18-yard box, who then fired a shot just under the crossbar for the go-ahead goal.
The Trojan midfielders and defenders would close out the match, only allowing one shot to the Eagles the rest of the day.
The win gives Trinity their first points in a conference opener since 2011, and their first victory since 2010.
TIU will look to make it two straight on Wednesday, when they travel to face the St. Xavier Cougars. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
