DEERFIELD, Ill. - Despite holding the Robert Morris offense out of the back of the net for over an hour, an extra-time goal scored seven minutes into the first overtime gave the Eagles a 2-1 win over Trinity International on Saturday afternoon at Schartner Field.

Brianna Bernholdt put the Trojans (1-6, 0-1 CCAC) in front early, scoring her seventh career goal in the 23rd minute and snapping a three-match scoring drought for Trinity.
The Eagles (3-0-2, 1-0 CCAC) evened the score in the 35th minute, with a goal from Demy Whitaker. Robert Morris would take two more cracks to claim the lead before the halftime break, but goalkeeper
Surina Lewandowski would fend them off.
Both sides had good opportunities in the second half, as RMU's Tianna Carrington and Trinity's
Heather Ortiz both hitting the woodwork in the opening minutes. The defenses would hold however, resulting in a scoreless half.
In extra time, Trinity would earn a corner kick in the 94th minute, but it was Carrington who would put away the game-winner in the 97th minute, putting the Eagles on top.
Victoria Padal would lead the Trojans with three shots on the day, while Lewandowski made seven saves throughout the match.
The Trojans will look for their first conference points this Tuesday, when they hit the road to take on St. Xavier. Kickoff against the Cougars is set for 6:00 p.m.
