DEERFIELD, Ill. - A 19th-minute goal from the visitors would be all the scoring needed, as Trinity International dropped the 2016 home opener Saturday afternoon, falling to the Corban (Ore.) Warriors, 1-0.

Firing 13 shots in the first 19 minutes, Corban broke through on Lexi McQueary's shot in the 19th minute. The Trojans (1-3) would battle back to control more possession, as first-half chances for Heather Ortiz, Kaylee Wallentine, and Isabelle Danner would all be stopped by the Corban keeper.

In all, the Trojans fired seven shots on target, but were unable to find the back of the net. Freshman keeper Rebecca Wells had a strong performance in her debut, making ten saves.

Trinity will wrap up the non-conference portion of their schedule with a two-match road trip, beginning on Tuesday, September 6, when they travel to face Marian (Ind.). Kickoff from Indianapolis is set for 6:00 p.m. CDT.
