ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - Five players recorded double-figures, but Trinity International were never able to get over the top against the host Robert Morris Eagles on Saturday afternoon, falling in the 2016-17 season finale 74-69.

The Eagles jumped out to a 9-2 lead before
Tashyra Burrough's three-pointer at the 7:36 mark of the first quarter gave Trinity their first field goal of the day. Robert Morris would go up by as much as 21-9, when back-to-back three-pointers from
Nika Bracun fueled a 10-5 run to close the first period for TIU.
Trinity pulled back to within five points early in the second quarter, when a pair of
Brookelyn Robertson free throws made it a 29-24 Eagle lead with 8:32 to play in the first half. Robertson made it a two point game with anohter bucket at the 4:04 mark, 33-31, but Robert Morris scored six straight to extend their lead to 43-34 at the break. Four Trojans led the team with six first-half points.
Six unanswered midway through the third period helped pad the Robert Morris advantage to 14 points, their largest lead of the game. Trinity would slowly chip away out of the deficit, pulling to within five points on Robertson's layup with 1:31 left to play in the fourth, but the Trojans were unable to pull even before time expired.
Robertson fininished with a team-leading 15 points, her fifth game this season as the Trojans' high scorer. Four players -
Sarina Falvo, Peters, Bracun, and Burrough - all tallied ten points. Bracun nearly earned her first double-double of the year, recording ten points and nine rebounds. Falvo matches her career high with seven assists.
The Trojans finish out the 2016-17 season with an 8-21 overall record, matching last season's win total, the most victories in a season since 2012-13.
