CLERMONT, Fla. - Trinity International cranked out 19 base hits over two games, but ultimately fell to Spring Arbor (Mich.) and 15th-ranked Davenport (Mich.) on Saturday afternoon during the PFX Spring Games, 4-3 in game one and 10-2 in game two.

Taylor Carli had her best game of the early season in the opener, going 4-for-4 at the plate while pitching all seven innings with three strikeouts.
After the Cougars (4-4) took a lead with a run in the top of the 4th, the Trojans (0-4) tied the game in the bottom half of the frame. Carli led off with a single, then scored on
Jessica Vroman's two-out RBI single.
Spring Arbor would add three more in the 6th, but Trinity would rally in their final at-bat.
Payton Carli and
Alyssa Doomis would both reach base and score on
Sara Grygus' single to center to cut the SAU lead to 4-3. The Trojans would load the bases with one out, but the tying run would be stranded to end the rally.
In the second game of the day, Davenport would push across a run in each inning to build a 9-0 run before
Jamie Stanton would hit a two-RBI double in the bottom of the 6th. Grygus would finish 2-for-3 with a double in game two to lead the offense.
Trinity continues their Florida swing Monday afternoon, with a rematch against Spring Arbor beginning at 12 p.m. CST, and a 2:30 p.m. contest with Siena Heights (Mich.).
