BENSENVILLE, Ill. - Sophomore first baseman
Michael Balistreri finished with three RBI singles, but despite Trinity International's 11 hits, the Trojans would drop Tuesday's CCAC matchup with the Robert Morris Eagles, 20-7.
The Eagles (18-18, 7-5 CCAC) would build a big lead early, scoring seven runs in the top of the 1st inning. Trinity responded by getting on the board in the bottom half of the frame when Balistreri drove home
Jeff Lindberg for the first of his three runs scored on a two-out RBI single.

Trinity (11-17, 3-9 CCAC) put together their biggest rally in the bottom of the 3rd, scoring four runs on five hits. Back-to-back doubles to lead off the inning scored
Nick Gehrt, then Balistreri drove in Lindberg for a second time to cut the RMU lead to 8-3. With the bases loaded later in the inning,
Joel Stephenson would be hit by a pitch, scoring Balistreri, and
Matt Pierson's groundout would drive home
Justin VanderNaald, bringing TIU to within three runs at 8-5.
The Trojans pulled to within two in the bottom of the 4th, with another RBI single from Balistreri, but Robert Morris would post five runs in their next trip to the plate to put the game out of reach.
Gehrt, Lindberg, and VanderNaald all finished the day with two hits, as the first five hitters in the Trojans' lineup produced 10 of the 11 hits and both walks.
The Trojans are back in action Wednesday afternoon, when they travel to Olivet Nazarene for a CCAC doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m.
