MILWAUKEE, Wisc. - Looking to bounce back after a tough CCAC loss to St. Xavier the TIU Volleyball team came up short in their second matchup of the season vs. Stritch, suffering a 3-0 loss on Tuesday evening.
The opening set of the match saw back and forth action between the two teams, but it was the Wolves who pulled away late after scoring five of the last eight points to take a 1-0 lead.
Despite their strong play in the opening set the Trojans could not keep up with the Wolves offense, suffering 25-11 and 25-16 defeats in the second and third set.
Deb Kovalczuk and
Brianna Torres finished the night with a team high 6 kills to lead the Trojans.
TIU will look to get back into the win column this Thursday when they host Judson University at 7 PM.
