DAVENPORT, Iowa - In a critical CCAC match with the postseason quickly approaching the TIU Volleyball program earned a hard fought come from behind 3-2 win over St. Ambrose University on Tuesday evening.
After winning the opening match of the game the Bee's came storming back to take the second and third sets to take a late 2-1 lead.
With their backs against the wall down 2-1, the Trojans showed their grittiness and fought back for a dominating fourth set win to even the match at two sets apiece.
In the final game of the evening SAU jumped out to an early lead, but again TIU battled back despite trailing early. After tallying 5 straight points midway through the set the Trojans closed out the match on a
Brianna Torres kill to win 3-2 over SAU.
Torres finished the night with yet another double-double, tallying 15 kills and 20 digs.
The Trojans will look to continue their winning ways on Thursday when they step out of conference play to take on Moody Bible Institute at 7 PM.
