DEERFIELD, Ill. - It was a slow shooting day for the TIU Women's Basketball team as the Lady Trojans suffered a 43-37 loss to Indiana South Bend on Saturday afternoon.
Neither side opened the game shooting the ball well, with TIU taking a 10-4 lead into the second quarter. Holding onto a slim lead the Trojans and Titans continued to struggle shooting the ball, but a few late Trojan buckets gave TIU a 17-10 lead at the half.
After the halftime break the Titans came out of the gates firing, outscoring the Trojans 15-8 on the third quarter.
Keeping the game close the Trojans had their opportunities down the stretch but clutch free throws from IUSBÂ helped seal a 43-37 win over TIU.
Krystal Walker once again led the Trojans in scoring, finishing with a team high 9 points.
The Trojans will look to bounce next week as they take on Carroll College on November 21st at 5:30 PM.
