DEERFIELD, Ill. - The combination of Brothers
Jeremy Carlyle and
Greg Carlyle helped lead the TIU Men's Basketball team to non-conference win over Lincoln Christian on Tuesday evening, with the twins each scoring 25+ points.
The Senior duo was on fire from long range on the evening, with Jeremy going 7-10 from long range, while Greg knocked down four triples en route to a 103-94 victory.
After a back and forth opening half the Trojans offense came to life in the final 20 minutes of play, shooting 60% from the field and 55% from three point range. TIU would lead by as much as 21 in the second half but a resilient LCU squad stormed back into the game with 6 minutes remaining to cut the deficit to 6.
Clutch buckets and free throws from the twins as well as
Jamal Bailey helped seal a Trojan victory down the stretch.
TIU will now enjoy a few weeks off before returning to the court on January 2nd when they host Goshen College.
