WYOMING, Mich. - Despite a slow start to the opening quarter of the game the TIU Women's Basketball team snapped a five game losing streak after earning a much needed road victory over Grace Christian University.
Junior
Krystal Walker led the way for the Trojans, scoring a game high 23 points, while collecting 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steal to round out one of her best performances of the year.
After tallying just 9 points in the opening 10 minutes the Trojans offense began firing on all cylinders. In the final three periods of play the Trojans scored at least 17 points per frame to close out a 68-60 road win.
Brittany Gafare and
Hunter Noa each finished the night in double figures, closing out the Trojans top offensive performers.
The Lady Trojans will enjoy a few weeks off before traveling to La Verne, California for a pair of matchups over the Holidays.
