SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - In their opening game of the 2018 season the TIU Women's Soccer came up short in their efforts to defeat the defending national champions, as the Lady Trojans suffered a 4-0 defeat to SAU on Tuesday afternoon.
The Cougars came out of the gates quickly, netting the games first goal just 7 minutes into the match. The Cougars kept up the pressure throughout the remainder of the opening half, scoring three more goals in the final 40 minutes.
The Trojans played a much more balanced half in the second 45, holding the Cougars off the score sheet, and getting multiple chances of their own on frame. Despite a much better half the Trojans were unable to find the score sheet, suffering 4-0 defeat.
Junior GK

The Trojans will look to get their first win of the season next Saturday when they travel to Arizona to take on Arizona Christian at 4:30 PM CT.
