LAKE FOREST, Ill. - In their first non-conference matchup in a week the TIU Volleyball team came up short after a hard fought battle vs. Lake Forest College, falling 3-1 on Tuesday evening.
The Foresters came out firing in the opening set, defeating the Trojans 25-19 to open the match. It was another hard fought set from the Trojans in the second game of the match but LFC closed out a 28-26 win to take a 2-0 lead in the match.

"Hats off to Lake Forest tonight, they had a game plan and executed it well," said Head Coach
Luke Ward. "Their defense was all over the place, and out ladies continued to fight and we just came up short. "It starts with me being better at practice tomorrow and we'll bounce back!"
Brianna Torres continued her solid Freshman season, posting a team high 15 kills in the loss while also registering 9 digs.
TIU will return to action this weekend when they head to Indiana Wesleyan for a tri-match over the weekend.
