DEERFIELD, Ill. - Taking on one of the top teams in the CCAC the Trojans came up short in their efforts to snap their three game losing streak. TIU fell in a pair of games vs the Trolls, suffering a 12-6 and a 20-4 loss to the Trolls on Saturday afternoon.
The long ball was the story of game one, with the Trojans tallying three round trippers while TCC added one of their own.
Matt Pierson opened the scoring with a two run shot over the right center field wall to give TIU the early advantage. The Trolls offense got rolling after finding themselves in an early deficit, scoring six unanswered runs in the 2nd inning to tka e a 6-2 lead.

Michael Balistreri hit the Trojans second homer of the game in the 3rd inning to make a 6-4 game and bring the Trojans right back in it.
The Trolls offense continued to roll in the late innings, eventually driving in six more runs to close out a 12-6 win.
In game two, the Trojans could not seem to to piece together any offense while TCC scored 20 runs on 20 hits to take the doubleheader sweep.
