ELGIN, Ill. --- The TIU Lady Trojans took on the Judson Eagles on Wednesday night in Elgin in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action. Winners of their last two games, the Trojans looked to put together another solid performance with the regular season winding down.

TIU bolted out of the gates to begin the game with a 10-0 run in the first two minutes, with Dana Percival kicking the action off with a three-point shot. The Trojan defense, as they would for much of the night, smothered the Eagles offense, forcing seven Judson turnovers in the first quarter. Finding Taylor Hibicke inside for multiple shots, the Trojans led 23-6 after the first ten minutes.

The offensive show continued for TIU in the second quarter as Alina Jahnke took control of the floor shooting five-for-nine from the field with six rebounds and a blocked shot. The Trojans forced eight more Eagle turnovers on a night where they would score 33 point off of takeaways. With the game in solid control, TIU went to the halftime break with a 45-14 lead.

With substitutions in during the second half, the Trojans kept the offense flowing while the defense kept up the pressure. TIU's defense would hold the Eagles to just ten points in the third quarter and 14 in the fourth on a night where Judson shot just 23% from the floor. Ending the game with 23 takeaways and 11 steals, the Trojans rolled past Judson 82-38 to pick up their 15th win of the season.

Jahkne led the night for TIU with 16 points and six rebounds, while Hibicke notched 13 points and seven boards in the win. Off the bench, Kelsey Kelley total ten points, five rebounds, and five assists in 22 minutes of play. The Trojan's three game win streak is their second longest of the season, after TIU won five straight from December 2 through January 3.

With five games remaining in the regular season, the Trojans return to action on Saturday, February 8 as they visit the Roosevelt University Lakers. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:00PM at the Goodman Center in downtown Chicago.
