Trojans drop home game against the Redhawks

BANNOCKBURN, Ill. --- Last weekend the Trojans took on the Redhawks of Indiana University in their final home game of the year. Although Trinity outshot IU Northwest from the perimeter and free throw line, they struggled in the paint and ultimately dropped 86-92.

Throughout the first half, both teams swapped baskets and kept a tight score line. Trinity shot almost 55% against IU Northwest's 50%. Sterling Brown led the charge with 12 points, while Brandon McQueen put up another 11 after dropping 3-3 from beyond the arc.

With less than ten minutes left in the half, Trinity held the lead 28-21 after a 3-pointer by Jack Kahoun. The Redhawks fought back and narrowed the gap to seven points, finishing the half with the Trojans still leading 50-43.

Trinity looked to continue the momentum from the first half but began to struggle holding onto the ball, giving up multiple turnovers and steals that IU Northwest capitalized on. Leon Williams earned a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds in the game and Sterling Brown added another ten points.

Despite multiple lead changes in the final minutes of the game, the Trojans couldn't combat the final push from the Redhawks and fell 86-92.
