Trojans lose on the road against Judson

BANNOCKBURN, ILL. ---  The Trojans took to the road yesterday for their second CCAC game of the year as they traveled to Elgin to tip off against the Eagles of Judson University. Looking to bounce back from their last game, Trinity came out strong and ended the first half with the lead but wouldn't be able to maintain it throughout and fell to the Eagles 76-83.

Getting the first half started, Sterling Brown dropped six of the Trojans first ten points and started a 16-6 run for the Trojans. With eleven minutes left, Trinity was up 24-14 and would maintain close to a ten point buffer until the final minute of the half. After a layup by Diamond Presniakovas brought the score to 44-33, Judson picked up some momentum and closed the gap to five points before the break.

Out of the break, the Eagles kept up their push and both teams traded the lead throughout the initial seven minutes. Leon Williams, on his way to a double-double, crept under the net for a pass from Brandon McQueen for the wide open dunk, tying the score at 58-58 with 12 minutes on the clock. A couple of back to back layups gave Judson the lead and despite bringing the score again within a single point multiple times in the remaining ten minutes, Trinity couldn't overcome the deficit.
