BANNOCKBURN, ILL. ---  This evening the Trojans met the Tigers of Olivet (RV) on the court in a rescheduled match from earlier this month. An exciting back and forth first half with the score deadlocked at the break ultimately fell to the visiting Tigers, 72-97.

Three was the common denominator when Trinity started the game with a 9-4 lead after three consecutive 3-pointers by three different Trojans. The Tigers fired back and overtook the lead before Trinity tied it up again 19-19 with a 3-pointer by Jaden Thomas, on his way to a career high 21 points. With ten minutes left the Trojans traded leads with Olivet as the score would be equalized four more times before the whistle ended the half at 38-38.

Despite the intensity and excitement of the first half, Trinity struggled to maintain their offensive accuracy and was outrebounded by the Tigers who continually capitalized on the mistakes. With the score gap widening, the Trojans scrambled for a comeback but it wouldn't come together before the final whistle blew.

• Tonight's matchup was the 20th meeting between Trinity and Olivet. Today's result brings the Trojans to 8-14 overall and 4-10 in the CCAC

• Trinity is ranked 12th for points per game, averaging 86.1
• Freshman Jaden Thomas led the Trojans in scoring tonight with 21 points, a new career high
