Trojans struggle to generate offense in complete game by the Fighting Saints

JOLIET, Ill. --- Yesterday afternoon Trinity was back on the road again for a game against another CCAC opponent, the University of St. Francis (IL). The Trojans fell to the Fighting Saints 0-13 in seven innings after a complete game by the Saints pitcher.

After Trinity went down 0-7 in the first two innings, Coach Gardner pulled in the team to frame the remainder of the game. They would continue to work hard and prepare for their next weekend series, rotating through the bullpen while doing what they could to rally a few on the scoreboard.

Unfortunately Trinity would continue to struggle offensively with just two base hits against the Fighting Saints sophomore hurler, while St. Francis was able to connect against five different Trojan pitchers. Twelve of the Saints' runs were earned, with the Trojans giving up just one fielding error.

Trinity is set for their first home game later this week.
