Trojans struggle to contain Jaguars' offense in road loss

UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill.. — For their latest CCAC battle, the Trojans headed south to Governors State University. Despite their defensive efforts, the Trojans struggled to contain the Jaguars offense and fell 35-71.

Sophomore point guard Da'Naria Washington led TIU's offense last night with nine points and six assists, while securing a team-high 11 rebounds. Trailing close behind, senior Amber Reynolds put up eight points. Audree Peck, sophomore small forward, continued to have an impact beneath the net with seven rebounds.

Trinity is currently averaging 51.5 points per game, with 39 rebounds along with 7.3 steals and 3.8 blocks. They rank 26th in the country in blocks per game.

Trinity (3-17) continues their final stretch of conference play against the University of St. Francis as they return home this weekend. Tip off is slated for 1:00pm in Van Dixhorn Arena on Saturday.
