Austin McCrory

Austin McCrory joined the Trojan football program in the late winter of 2020.

In his first season with TIU, McCrory coached the Trojan defensive line, a core led by All-MSFA Midwest League honorable mention lineman Moses Smith, who notched 46 total tackles in 2020, most among Trinity defensive linemen.

McCrory coached at NCAA Division II Davenport University with both the defensive line and linebacker units in 2018 and 2019. After a 1-10 season in 2017, Davenport turned their fortunes around with a top ten defense in NCAA Division II football. Prior to coaching at Davenport, Austin spent a year coaching defensive line at Grandville High School in 2016.

A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Austin earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Trin University in Indiana, where he played four seasons on the defensive line at the NCAA Division III level. After earning his bachelor’s degree, McCrory earned a master’s degree in business management from Davenport.
