Coach Amos

James Amos

James Amos joins the Trinity International football program in 2020 as coach of the linebacker unit.

In his first season in the COVID-19 shortened/postponed season of 2020, Amos coached an impressive group of linebackers, led by first team all-conference sophomore Kemon Reese, who led ranked second in the nation in tackles per game (12.7) and tackles for loss per game (2). Reese was also named an All-American by both the NAIA and NCCAA. Freshman Logan Shears notched 43 tackles to earn honorable mention honors by the MSFA as well under Amos' coaching.

Amos graduated from the University of Montana Western in 2017, and began his coaching career at Potlatch Junior/Senior High School while working as a special education aid. Following his time in Potlatch, James coached tight ends and safeties at Montana State University-Northern for one season, before joining the Montana Western coaching staff for two years as assistant linebackers coach and running backs coach.
