Ulysses Hall is in his first season as an assistant football coach at TIU, coaching the Trojans’ Defensive Line in 2019. 

Hall comes to Trinity from COS Academy in Columbus, Ohio where he was the head football coach. Prior to that, Ulysses was the Defensive Line coach at Ohio Wesleyan University for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. He entered the college ranks after two successful seasons at Decatur (Ga.) High School, where he served as special teams coordinator and defensive line coach in 2014-2015 seasons. Hall also has one season of coaching experience at Centennial (Ga.) High School as the Outside Linebacker’s Coach, and Woodward (Ga.) Academy as a Defensive Assistant. 

Hall was named in 2014 to the NCAA’s Top 30 Coaches under 30. In 2018, he was selected to attend the NCAA/NFL Coaching Seminar.

Hall is a 2011 graduate of Shaw (N.C.) University, earning B.A. in both broadcast journalism and social psychology. During his playing career with the Bears, he was a 2-year starter at nose tackle, was elected defensive line captain, and was a 3-time All-CIAA academic team selection.

He is a native of Bedford, Ohio.
