Landon Lopez joined the TIU men's basketball staff as a graduate assistant in August 2020, coordinating the program's player development and strength and conditioning regiments.Â
A native of Denver, Colorado, Landon was a varsity letter-winning athlete in basketball, football and wrestling at Cherry Creek High School. Following his high school career, Lopez went on to join Eagle Crest High School as the men's varsity basketball assistant coach, where the team reached the Colorado State Final Four, as well as the second in the 2016 state game. In 2018, he helped coach the Grandview Wolves to the Colorado 5A State Championship. Additionally, Landon spent three seasons leading the 15U Colorado Miners team.
He attended Colorado State University where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Communication in 2020, where he served as a manager to the Rams men's basketball team for two seasons under head coach Niko Medved. Landon is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in leadership from TIU.
