Ivan Alvarado joined the TIU men's soccer program as a graduate assistant prior to the 2018 season.
A native of San Jose, Costa Rica, Alvarado attended Indiana Wesleyan University from 2014 to 2016 before transferring to TIU in 2016. He graduated from Trinity with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports & Wellness Management in 2018.
As a player, Ivan played five games at Indiana Wesleyan and 27 at TIU. Prior to playing in college, he played for the Chicago Fire Academy and Fútbol Consultants during his youth. He also was a member of the Chicago Eagles Soccer Academy in 2014 and FC Desamparados in Costa Rica from 2015 to 2017.
Alvarado currently resides in Chicago, Illinois while also working as a persona trainer at FC United in Glenview, and pursuing his Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership at Trinity.
