Biography
Personal: Son of Mona Navitsky, siblings: Daniel Navitsky. Greg is a Business Major with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership and a minor in Biblical Studies. Greg stated, "The blend of business will provide a framework and a perspective on how to do ministry as well as being grounded in scripture to further equip myself in becoming a pastor." Greg is also involved in Residence Life at TIU where he is a Residance Assistant, and he has also gone on two missions trips: one to Mississippi/Louisiana and the second to the Dominican Republic. For the past year, on Sunday's, Greg serves at Willow Creek Church where he leads/shepards high school students.
When asked why he plays for TIU, Greg stated, "I play for TIU because first and foremost I love Jesus! I feel overjoyed and beyond thankful to play for a program that again first and foremost loves Him as well. I play for TIU because I seek to honor the Lord with the gifts/talents that he has bestowed upon me and give him all the credit right back. I play for TIU because I play for something far beyond myself, a calling, a purpose, a mission, a commitment to the One who gave it all for me. I seek to use the beautiful game of soccer to serve and minster to those who don't."
High School: Played for the Sockers FC for 5 years, Sockers FC Academy team for 3 years. Highlight: Winning the Disney Showcase in Florida where Greg scored game winner in the semi's and assist in the final. Varsity soccer for 2 years at Barrington High School, Co-captain in 2009, won the "Fighting Bronco Award" in 2009 as well.
