Chrissy Polka joined the TIU softball coaching staff in August of 2020.

Polka comes to Trinity after serving one season as the head coach at Robert Morris University (Ill.) during the shorten 2020 season.

After graduating from Maine South High School in 2012, Polka attended Middle Tennessee State University where she started six games as a true freshman on the Raiders softball team before transferring to Robert Morris prior to the 2016 season.

One of the top players in Eagles history, Chrissy earned Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) All-Conference First Team honors in 2017 and 2018 and was the CCAC Player of the Year as a senior in 2018. In her last season with the Eagles, Polka finished the year ranked as the conference's top-performer in four offensive categories and was named an NAIA All-American, as well as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

Polka would go on to serve as a graduate assistant for the RMU softball program during the 2019 campaign under Head Coach Kathy Young, and holds three seasons of experience as an assistant coach for the Chicago White Sox Fastpitch 16U and 18U travel softball programs, which she coached from 2015 to 2017 while providing hitting, catching, and general fielding instruction at the West Suburban Sports Complex—formerly known as the Bulls/Sox Academy.

Polka completed her Master of Business Administration from the Morris Graduate School in the spring of 2019 and currently resides in Park Ridge, Illinois.
