Melanie Duplessis serves as assistant coach for the TIU women's basketball team.
A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Duplessis played three season for the Lady Trojans from 2008 to 2011 after transferring from Cornell College (IA).
In 98 games playing for TIU, Melanie helped lead the Trojans to two CCAC Tournaments, including the 2009 championship game, plus an appearance in the 2009 NCCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament. Duplessis was named All-CCAC First Team in each of her three seasons at Trinity, and was selected as the 2010-2011 CCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Year.
To this day, Duplessis remains the program's all-time leader in points scored (1,789), points per game (18.3), and field goals made and attempted.
Melanie currently resides in Waukegan, Illinois with her fiancee Detrick.
