GOSHEN, Ind. -- Sophomore forward
Basha Ramsey finished with 19 points to lead the Trojans, but a cold-shooting first half for Trinity International proved to be too much to overcome, as the Trojans dropped the second game of the Maple Leaf Classic, 74-41, to the hosts Goshen (Ind.)
Box Score | Season StatsTrinity shot just 17.4% from the field in the first half, (4-of-23), scoring just 12 points in the first 20 minutes of play.
Nika Bracun and Ramsey gave the Trojans a 4-1 lead with a pair of buckets in the opening minutes, but Goshen would answer with 23 unanswered points to take control of the game with 9:15 to play in the first half. By the halftime break, the Maple Leafs had built a 46-12 advantage.
Playing much closer in the second half, the Trojans rebounded to outscore the Leafs 29-28 after the half, but were unable to mount a big run to get back into the game.
Bracun finished as the team's second-leading scorer, with seven points along with seven rebounds.
The Trojans return home this week, when they resume conference play against Roosevelt. Tipoff against the Lakers is set for Wednesday, November 19, at 5:30 p.m.
