NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Amari Parham led the Trojans with 11 points, but Trinity International struggled from the field, shooting 13-for-44 (29.5%) as the Trojans fell 55-31 to Millsaps (Miss.), in the first game of the Chicago Marriott Naperville Tip-Off Classic, hosted by North Central.

Daja' Johnson's three-pointer put TIU ahead 9-8 at the 14:43 mark of the first half. Millsaps responed with a 14-point run from that point, taking a lead that would hold the rest of the day.
TIU would go into the halftime break down 31-17, with Parham leading the Trojans with nine first-half points. The Trojans held Millsaps to just 24 points after the break, but 14 second-half turnovers kept TIU from making a comeback run.

Joy Corley posted a team-high five rebounds on the day.
Trinity will take on St. Mary's (Ind.) tomorrow, in the second day of the Tip-Off Classic, set to start at 12:00 p.m.
