JaToya Woods scored a career-high 23 points, but Trinity International suffered an 82-41 loss to the St. Thomas (Fla.) Bobcats on Wednesday afternoon, in the first of three games of the Trojans' Florida trip over New Years.

Amari Parham got the Trojans on the board with a layup at the 13:20 mark of the first half.
Trinity had their best run in the first half with seven quick points in less than a minute, all scored by Woods, closing the gap to 24-9 with 10:34 remaining in the half. St. Thomas would go on to outscore TIU 22-6 throughout the rest of the half, taking a 46-15 lead at the half.
The Trojans outscored STU 10-6 to start the second half, with Woods collecting 16 points after the halftime break. The Racine, Wisc. native went 6-for-6 from the field in the second half, and 8-for-13 overall.
Parham finished with eight points as TIU's second-leading scorer, with five Trojans getting on the scoresheet in the game.
Trinity will enjoy New Years Day in Florida, before taking on Warner (Fla.) on Friday, January 2, at 11:00 a.m. CST, as part of the Embry-Riddle Shootout.
