Basha Ramsey finished with a career-high 26 points to lead Trinity International, along with 13 rebounds for another career best and her second-ever double-double, as the Trojans came up just short in a 65-58 loss to the Warner (Fla.) Royals, Friday afternoon at the Bahama House & Best Western Aku Tiki Shootout, hosted by Embry-Riddle (Fla.)

After a pair of
JaToya Woods free throws tied the game 12-12, Warner answered with an 11-1 run to move in front by double digits with just under five minutes to play until the halftime break. Trinity eventually ended the half with a nine-point deficit, going into the locker room behind 30-21.
Warner took their biggest lead of the day at the 15:41 mark of the second half, riding an 11-4 run after the break. Ramsey then scored five of the next seven points for TIU, closing the gap again to single digits, 43-34, with 11:09 to play.
Trinity would close the gap to six points on three different occasions, but couldn't get over the hump and even the score again. Woods finished the game in double figures, with 11 points; in her second game this season, the junior shot just 1-for-5 from the field, but worked to get to the free throw line, shooting 9-for-11 from the stripe. Ramsey also had a big day from the line, shooting 12-for-17 and setting new career highs in both made free throws, and free throw attempts.
The Trojans get right back at it Saturday afternoon, when they take on the host Embry-Riddle Eagles. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m. CST.
