Basha Ramsey's field goal at the 14:56 mark put the Trojans on the board. Trinity Christian answered with a 19-0 run over 8:52 to take a 29-2 advantage. A quick five-point run from
Mackenzie Crews and Daja Johnson closed the gap, but TCC would take a 37-7 lead into the halftime break.
Ramsey and Crews both scored in the opening minutes of the second half, but Trinity Christian started out on a 17-4 run over the first eight minutes to put the game away. A total of 25 TIU turnovers ultimately led to 21 points for TCC, which combined with the Trojans' 14.8% shooting percentage proved to be the difference.
Arielle Miree finished the day with a team-high eight points; Ramsey collected seven rebounds to lead the Trojans.
The Trojans return home this Monday night, December 8, to host the North Central (Ill.) Cardinals. Tipoff inside the Van Dixhorn Arena is set for 6:00 p.m.
